# Rankry Documentation

> Rankry is an AI search optimization platform. It asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Meta Muse, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot the questions a brand's buyers ask, shows where the brand is named and where competitors win, and helps fix it. These docs explain how to use Rankry, what each metric means and how to improve AI visibility.

- Rankry is an AI search optimization platform: it finds where AI answers leave a brand out, measures it and helps fix it.
- Each account's plan sets which AI engines run; some are add-ons.
- Rankry does not guarantee placement in AI answers or manipulate models.
- Programmatic access is a read-only MCP server at https://rankry.ai/app/mcp with a personal API key. There is no general REST API.
- Every page is also available as markdown: add index.md to its address, or ask for text/markdown.
