The Visibility Score is Rankry’s headline metric: a single 0 to 100 number that captures how often and how prominently AI engines recommend your brand across your tracked prompts. It is position-aware, so being named first counts for more than being buried at the end of a list.
Rankry runs your buyer-intent prompts through each AI engine on a schedule, parses every answer for whether your brand appears and where it lands, and weights the result by position. Those per-prompt results roll up into an overall score and a per-model score, so a strong ChatGPT number never hides a weak Claude one.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Overall score | Position-weighted visibility from 0 to 100 across all tracked prompts and models. |
| Per-model score | The same score computed separately for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok. |
| Mention rate | Share of prompts where your brand appears at all. |
| Average position | Where your brand lands in the answer when present. |
| Trend | Week-over-week change in the score. |
A marketing lead checks the Visibility Score weekly. It rose from 48 to 61 after publishing three comparison pages, but the per-model view shows Claude still lagging at 38. That single drill-down tells them exactly where to focus next, instead of celebrating an average that hides the gap.
