Rankry LLC ("Rankry," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website at rankry.ai and our AI visibility analytics platform (collectively, the "Service").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect.
1.1. Information You Provide to Us. When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, company name, password (stored in encrypted form), and optionally your job title. When you use the Service, you may provide brand names, website URLs, competitor information, and industry or category data. When you contact us, we collect email correspondence, support requests, and feedback.
1.2. Information Collected Automatically. When you access the Service, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, pages visited and features used, date and time of access, and referring URL. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, analyze Service usage, and improve user experience.
1.3. Information We Do NOT Collect. We do not collect payment card numbers (processed by third-party payment processors), Social Security numbers or government IDs, biometric data, health information, or data from children under 18.
2. How We Use Your Information. We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and maintain the Service; create and manage your account; send you Service-related communications; respond to your inquiries and support requests; generate visibility reports and analytics for you; improve and develop new features; analyze usage patterns and trends; send marketing communications (with consent); detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information.
3.1. Service Providers. We share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service, including cloud hosting providers, email service providers, analytics providers, and customer support tools. All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
3.2. AI Model Providers. To provide visibility analytics, we send queries to third-party AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Perplexity). These queries contain brand names you track, competitor names, and industry-related prompts. We do NOT share your personal information (name, email, etc.) with AI model providers.
3.3. Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, including court orders, subpoenas, law enforcement requests, and regulatory investigations.
3.4. Business Transfers. If Rankry is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
4. Data Retention. We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service to you, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account information is retained until account deletion plus 30 days. Usage logs are retained for 12 months. Analytics reports are retained until account deletion. Support communications are retained for 24 months. You may request account deletion by emailing [email protected]. We will process your request within 30 days.
5. Data Security. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption (data encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest with AES-256), access controls (role-based access limited to authorized personnel), secure cloud hosting with SOC 2 compliant providers, secure password hashing and optional two-factor authentication, and regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Privacy Rights.

6.2. European Economic Area (EEA) / UK — GDPR Rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to object to processing, restrict processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Rankry LLC is the data controller for your personal information.
6.3. California Residents — CCPA Rights. If you are a California resident, you have rights under CCPA including the right to know, right to delete, right to opt-out, and right to non-discrimination. 7. Marketing Communications. With your consent, we may send you promotional emails about new features, updates, or offers. You can opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, emailing [email protected], or updating your account preferences. We will still send essential Service-related emails (account verification, security alerts, billing) even if you opt out of marketing communications.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us provide and improve the Service. We use essential cookies (required for Service functionality), functional cookies (remember your preferences), and analytics cookies (understand how you use the Service). We may use third-party analytics services that set their own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
9. International Data Transfers. Rankry is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. For EEA/UK users, we ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
10. Children's Privacy. The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.
