Sample data
In short
Rankry Brain is the AI assistant inside Rankry, the AI search optimization platform. You ask it about your AI visibility in plain words; it checks your project’s data with read-only tools covering visibility, sentiment, competitors, sources, history, prompts, AI traffic, Search Console, PageSpeed and tasks, shows how many tools it used, and answers with your numbers or a chart. It reads and explains; it never changes your data.
How it works
How do I ask Rankry Brain about my AI visibility?
Rankry Brain is always one click away, on every page of your project. There is nothing to set up.
- 01
Open Rankry Brain
Click “Ask Rankry Brain” in the sidebar. It opens as a drawer beside the page you are on, for the project you are viewing.
- 02
Ask in plain words
Type into “Ask Rankry Brain about your AI visibility…”, or pick one of the common questions. A message can run to 10,240 characters, so paste context if it helps.
- 03
See what it checks
Brain decides which tools to call, up to eight steps per answer, and shows “Used N tools” so you know what it looked at.
- 04
Read the answer
Answers come with your numbers. Ask for a chart and Brain draws a line or bar chart from the data it just read.
- 05
Ask a follow-up
Keep going in the same chat: “Only ChatGPT”, “Compare with last month”, or “Which pages should I update first?”
Its tools

Common questions
What can I ask Rankry Brain?
Brain offers 15 common questions to start from. Here are eight of them, word for word, and what each answer draws on.
How is my brand doing in AI search?
Your Rankry Score and its change, visibility by engine, sentiment and the top insights from your latest report.
Where am I losing to competitors?
The leaderboard of you and your tracked competitors, and the prompts and engines where they are named and you aren’t.
Show my visibility trend as a chart
Your visibility over time, drawn as a chart right in the chat.
What should I fix first?
The most serious insights from your report and the open tasks you have collected, in order.
Where are competitors cited but I am not?
The domains AI cites with a gap status: they cite competitors, not you.
How much traffic do AI engines send me?
AI visits by platform, landing pages and countries, on Pro with the AI Traffic script installed.
What content should I write next?
Your content tasks and the prompts where you are weakest, so the next article targets a real gap.
Is my site indexed on Google?
URL inspection and sitemap data from your connected Search Console property.
Assistant vs dashboard
How is an AI assistant different from a dashboard?
A dashboard shows every number and leaves you to work out which ones matter. An assistant starts from your question. Ask “Why did my visibility drop this month?” and Brain pulls your history, compares engines and prompts, and points to where the change happened, with the figures behind it.
Brain also joins data that lives on different pages. One question can touch your AI visibility, the sources AI cites, your Search Console clicks and your AI traffic, which would otherwise mean four screens and a spreadsheet.
It doesn’t replace the dashboard. It is a faster way to reach the part of it you need, and an easy way to explain it to someone who doesn’t live in Rankry every day.
In the chat
What else does Rankry Brain offer in the chat?
Besides free-form questions, the chat has ready-made lists and a few shortcuts.
Guides
Built-in how-to answers about Rankry itself, such as “How do I read my visibility score?”, “How and when are reports generated?” and “How do I track visitors from AI engines?”
Insights catalog
About 50 ready questions across visibility, position, sentiment, diversity, competitors and sources, such as “Which AI model mentions me the most?” or “Which sources is AI using that I am missing?”
Slash commands
/questions, /guides and /insights open those lists; /clear starts a fresh chat and /close closes the drawer.
Charts
Line or bar charts with up to 60 points and five series, drawn from the data Brain has just read.
Talk to a person
Prefer a human? Brain can hand you over to Rankry’s support chat.
One project at a time
Brain answers about the project you are viewing. Switch projects and it reads that one instead.
Read-only
Can Rankry Brain change my data?
No. Every tool Brain uses is read-only. It can’t add or remove prompts, add competitors, create or complete tasks, start a report or an audit, run PageSpeed, or change anything in Search Console.
When an answer suggests an action, such as tracking a new prompt or writing an article, you take it in the app: “Add prompts” on the Prompts page, “Add to Tasks” in the Action plan, or the “Write” button on an opportunity. That keeps every change to your project a deliberate one.
If you want an assistant that can start a PageSpeed test, the Rankry MCP server can do that from Claude Code or Cursor. It is the one action available there.

Related features
What is Rankry Brain?
Rankry Brain is the AI assistant built into Rankry. You open it from the sidebar, ask about your AI visibility in plain words, and it checks your project’s data with read-only tools before answering with your numbers, or with a chart when you ask for one.
Does Rankry Brain use my real tracking data?
Yes. Every answer starts with tool calls against your project: your reports, prompts, competitors, sources, history and any connected integrations. Brain shows “Used N tools” under the answer, so you can see what it checked.
Can Rankry Brain create tasks or add prompts?
No. Rankry Brain is read-only. It can suggest what to do, but you add prompts, competitors and tasks yourself in the app. It also can’t start reports, audits or PageSpeed tests, or change anything in Search Console.
Which AI model does Rankry Brain run on?
An OpenAI model. Your question and the data Brain’s tools read are sent to OpenAI to write the answer. If you ask for Search Console data, that result goes to the assistant only because you asked.
Is there a limit on how many questions I can ask?
There is no monthly question allowance. Brain has a rate limit of 50 requests a minute per user and accepts messages of up to 10,240 characters. It comes with your Rankry subscription, with no extra plan gate.
Can Rankry Brain answer questions about Search Console and AI traffic?
Yes, when that data is available. Search Console and PageSpeed answers need the integrations included in your plan and connected. AI traffic answers need Pro and the AI Traffic script on your site. Without them, Brain has no data to read for those questions.
Does Rankry Brain remember past chats?
No. Chats stay in your browser while you work and aren’t saved as a history. Use /clear to start fresh. Your project data is always there for the next question, so a new chat loses nothing but the conversation.
How is Rankry Brain different from the MCP server?
Rankry Brain lives inside the Rankry app, answers about the project you are viewing, and can draw charts. The MCP server brings the same data to your own AI tools, such as Claude Code or Cursor, across every project on your account, and adds one action: running a PageSpeed test.
Where did Rankry Insights go?
Insights now live in Rankry Brain. Instead of a static list, you can open the insights catalog, about 50 ready questions across visibility, position, sentiment, diversity, competitors and sources, and ask follow-ups about any of them. The step-by-step plan lives on the Action plan page.
Can Rankry Brain tell me what to fix next?
Yes. Ask “What should I fix first?” or “Which tasks should I work on?” and Brain reads your insights and open tasks, then explains the priorities. It explains and recommends; you make the changes and track them in Tasks.
