What should you check before switching AI visibility tools?
Most switches happen because of one missing engine or one surprise on the invoice. These eight checks catch both.
Engines in the base price
List the engines your buyers use and check which ones each plan includes. Claude, Grok, Gemini and Google AI Mode are add-ons on several tools.
Price with add-ons
Add engine, prompt and feature add-ons to the plan price. The cheapest plan on paper can cost more once the engines you need are counted.
Answer history
Make sure you can open the full AI answer behind each number, run by run, and not only a score.
How often prompts run
Daily, weekly and monthly runs give different views. AI answers vary from run to run, so trends over several runs matter more than one result.
Competitors and sources
Check whether competitors are found for you, and whether the tool shows the sources that cite rivals and not you.
Help with the fix

How do I move my prompts to Rankry?

Collect your prompts
Export them from your current tool, or copy them into a spreadsheet, one prompt per row. Each prompt can be up to 200 characters.

Start a Rankry trial
Enter your website. Rankry reads it, suggests your niche and writes buyer prompts, which you review before the first report.

Import the file
On the Prompts page, open “Add prompts” and choose “Import CSV”. Use a “prompt” column, or one prompt per line, and an optional “models” column to choose the engines for each prompt. Duplicates are skipped.

Read the first report
New prompts are answered right away. Competitors are found automatically from the first report, and the Sources page shows which sites AI cites.

History
What carries over when you switch, and what does not?
Your prompt list moves in minutes. Your history does not: Rankry starts recording with your first report and keeps every run after that, with the brands each engine named, your position, the sources cited and the full answer text. Keep an export from your old tool if you need the old numbers for a report.
Competitors do not need to be re-entered. Rankry finds them from the first report by looking at the brands AI names for the same customers, and you can add or remove any brand that appeared in your reports. Every figure recomputes from the stored answers right away, without a new run.

How do I import prompts into Rankry?
On the Prompts page, open “Add prompts”, choose “Import CSV” and upload a .csv or .txt file. Use a header with a “prompt” column, or one prompt per line. An optional “models” column picks engines per prompt, prompts can be up to 200 characters, and duplicates or prompts you already track are skipped.
How long should I run two tools side by side?
At least one full week. AI engines can answer the same question differently from one run to the next, so compare the same prompts over more than one run. Rankry’s trial lasts 7 days, and new prompts are answered as soon as you add them.
Do metrics match between tools?
Not exactly, because tools define them differently. In Rankry, Visibility is the share of answers that name you, Position is your average rank when you are named, and Share of voice compares you only with the competitors you track. Compare trends and the answers themselves, not single numbers across tools.
Which alternatives include Claude and Grok?
