Projects and workspaces

A project is one website you track, with its own prompts, competitors, reports and integrations. A workspace groups projects, for example one workspace per client or per brand family. This page covers moving between them, adding them, and the settings each project has.

Every account has a workspace called My Workspace, and your first project sits in it. You can rename it, but you can’t delete it.

The switcher at the top of the sidebar shows the project you’re in. Click it to open a menu with Workspaces on one side and the Projects in the selected workspace on the other.

  • Switch: click a workspace to see its projects, then click a project to open it.
  • Rename a workspace: click the pencil next to its name. Press Enter to save or Esc to cancel.
  • New workspace: type a name and press Enter.
  • New project: starts project setup inside the workspace you’re looking at.
  • Delete workspace: appears on a workspace with no projects (“No projects here yet”), unless it’s My Workspace.

Your plan sets:

  • how many workspaces you can have, My Workspace included;
  • how many projects you can have, counted across all your workspaces. Archived projects don’t count.

The numbers for each plan are on Plans and billing.

At a limit, New workspace or New project stays in the menu but is greyed out. Hover it to see Max limit reached and “Upgrade plan to create a new workspace” (or project).

If you move to a plan with fewer workspaces, you keep the ones you have. You can’t add another until you’re under the limit, and you can delete empty ones from the switcher. Projects work the same way: New project stays locked until you’re under your plan’s project limit.

Click Settings just below the switcher. The page has four cards.

The project’s niche, creation date, location, last update and language, plus a link with your prompt count that opens Prompts.

The brands you track for this project, with a count against your plan’s limit. Click Add competitor to pick from the brands your reports have found (search by brand or domain), remove the ones you don’t need, then click Save changes.

  • Removing a competitor updates the dashboard right away.
  • Adding one shows the build progress screen while Rankry scores the new brand across every AI model.

See Competitors for how Rankry picks and compares them.

Archive this project and set up a new one from scratch, with a new domain, niche, location and language. Click Reset project, type RESET and click Archive & start new.

  • Your plan sets how many resets you get a month. The card shows how many are left.
  • You can’t reset while a report is being generated.

The projects you’ve reset, each with its domain and the date it was archived.
