Reading your reports

Your report is every answer Rankry has collected for your prompts, summed up across the period you pick. Here’s an order that gets you from “how are we doing” to “what do we do” in a few minutes.

  1. Dashboard tiles. Visibility, Position, Sentiment, Diversity. Note the labels and the change since the start of the period. See Metrics explained.
  2. Where you’re named. Which topics carry you and which are at zero.
  3. Model comparison. Which engine is holding you back.
  4. Compete. Who leads, by how much, and who’s moving. Start with the Competitive leaderboard, Gap to leader and Momentum.
  5. Prompts. Sort by Visibility, open the prompts you lose, read who wins and why.
  6. Sources. The sites behind the answers, and the gaps.
  7. Action plan. What Rankry suggests doing about it.

AI answers vary. The same prompt can name you on Monday and not on Thursday. A few habits keep you from chasing noise:

  • Use a longer period for decisions. A 7-day period may hold a single scan. 30 or 90 days averages over several.
  • Look at many prompts, not one. A single prompt flipping is noise. A topic moving together is a signal.
  • Check the engines. A drop on one engine with the rest steady usually points to that engine, not to you.
  • Read the answers. The detail panel shows what changed: a new rival, a new source, a different list.

A 0% for a topic or prompt doesn’t always mean a problem:

  • Questions outside your business. Delete prompts that don’t match what you sell.
  • New brands. Engines need pages to find before they can name you. Start with Sources and AI Readiness.
  • One engine only. Filter by engine to see if the zero is everywhere or just in one place.
  • Google AI Overviews. When Google shows no AI Overview for a prompt, that counts as an answer without you. See AI engines.
  • Performance trends plots your metrics and your competitors’ across the period.
  • Momentum sums up who moved, and which way.
  • The Rankry Score card on the Dashboard opens your score history.
  • Export in the project header downloads the report as CSV. See Exports.
  • The period is part of the page address, so a link opens on the same dates.
