Tasks

Tasks turns what Rankry finds in your reports, audits and competitor analysis into concrete things to do. Tick them off as you ship. Each project has its own list.

  • Action plan: Add to Tasks on a move, or Add all N to Tasks on a step. When a plan finishes building, Rankry also adds up to three of its quickest moves for you. See Action plan.
  • Opportunities: Write on a prompt creates a writing task and opens it in Content Studio. One task per prompt, so clicking again opens the same task.
  • Content Studio: every article you start with New article is a writing task too.
  • You: New task at the top of the page.

The Source of each task says where it came from: AI Visibility gap, AI Readiness audit, Sources gap, Competitor win, or Manual.

  • A count of tasks in the current view, and New task.
  • Status tabs with counts: All, To do, In progress, Done, Snoozed and Archive. All shows everything except archived tasks.
  • Two filters: All types and All sources.
  • One row per task: a checkbox to mark it done, the title, a priority pill (Critical, High, Medium or Low), a short summary, and the type and source. Writing tasks carry a Content tag.

Writing tasks open in Content Studio. Every type except Add schema is a writing task.

Other tasks open a detail window. Depending on where the task came from, it shows Why this matters, Recommended outcome, an Execution checklist and Ready-to-paste code, plus your own Notes. The side panel holds Status, Priority, task type, source, dates, and Linked areas: links back to the pages the task relates to.

StatusWhat it means
To doNot started. New tasks start here.
In progressYou’re working on it.
DoneShipped. Tick the checkbox, or untick it to reopen.
SnoozedSet aside for later, from the task’s Status menu.
ArchiveOut of your way. Archived tasks are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Tick rows or use Select all, then:

  • Mark done (not shown on the Done tab);
  • Archive.

On the Archive tab, the choices are Restore (back to To do) and Delete, which is permanent. Empty archive clears the whole tab. Clear drops the selection.

Hover a single row for the same actions: Archive, or Restore and Delete permanently in the archive.

New task opens a short form:

  • Title (required);
  • Notes (optional);
  • Type: Write article (default), Refresh page, Add FAQ, Add schema, Comparison page, Glossary, Use case page or Repurpose;
  • Priority: Low, Medium (default), High or Critical.

Create task adds it with the source “Manual”.

The Dashboard card This week’s plan (“What to do first to get named more often”) shows your top three open tasks, highest priority first. Open means To do or In progress. Tick one there to mark it done.

When you have no open tasks but your latest action plan has quick moves not yet in Tasks, the card lists them with a Ship this week label. With neither, it reads “All clear. No open tasks for this week.”

Keep the list short and current. Archive what you won’t do, set priorities so the Dashboard card shows the right three, and mark tasks done as they ship. After your next scan, check whether the prompts behind them moved.
