FAQ
Which AI engines does Rankry track?
Section titled “Which AI engines does Rankry track?”ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, Meta Muse, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot. Your plan sets which ones run for you; some are add-ons. See AI engines.
How often does Rankry check?
Section titled “How often does Rankry check?”On a schedule your plan sets. The project header shows it (“Scans: Every N days”) and when the next scan is due. New prompts are answered right away. See Scans and report requests.
Can I run a report on demand?
Section titled “Can I run a report on demand?”No. Scans run on a schedule so every point in your history is comparable. New prompts you add run right away, and changing competitors recalculates every figure from the answers already collected.
How long does the first report take?
Section titled “How long does the first report take?”The first answers arrive within minutes and the tables fill in as they land. A full report takes longer with more prompts and engines. You get an email when it’s ready. See Your first report.
Can I add my own prompts?
Section titled “Can I add my own prompts?”Yes. Write them or import a CSV from Prompts → Add prompts, and pick the engines for them. When you set up a project, you can also import them from a link to a shared Google Sheet or Google Doc. Your plan sets how many prompts you can track. See Adding prompts.
Why can’t I edit a prompt’s text?
Section titled “Why can’t I edit a prompt’s text?”A prompt’s history only means something if the question stays the same. Add the new question as a new prompt instead. You can change a prompt’s category and engines from its row menu.
What is a report request?
Section titled “What is a report request?”One answer: one prompt on one engine in one scan. Your plan includes a monthly allowance shared across your projects. Failed answers and competitor recalculations use none. See Scans and report requests.
How are competitors chosen?
Section titled “How are competitors chosen?”From your first report: Rankry tracks the brands the answers name most, up to your plan’s limit. You can add, remove or swap them any time, and the figures recalculate from stored answers without using requests. See Competitors.
Why does my visibility differ between engines?
Section titled “Why does my visibility differ between engines?”Each engine searches the web its own way and trusts different sources. It’s normal for one to name you first and another to leave you out. Model comparison on the Dashboard and Model preferences show the split.
What does Position mean?
Section titled “What does Position mean?”Your average place in the answers that name you. 1.0 means you’re always first; lower is better. Answers that don’t name you don’t count toward Position. See Metrics explained.
What does Diversity measure?
Section titled “What does Diversity measure?”How many of your engines name you at least once. 4 of 5 is 80%. See Metrics explained.
Do I need to connect anything?
Section titled “Do I need to connect anything?”No. Most of Rankry works from your domain alone. Integrations add more: Google Search Console data, PageSpeed reports and access to your data from AI tools over MCP. AI Traffic needs a small script on your site.
Can I track more than one brand?
Section titled “Can I track more than one brand?”Yes, as separate projects. Workspaces let you group them, for example one per client. Your plan sets how many of each you can have. See Projects and workspaces.
